Millard and Linda Fuller began Habitat for Humanity in 1976. To date, Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated 400,000 homes worldwide for more than 2 million people.
La Porte’s 35th Year and 55th Home Coming Soon
LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1986. 54 homes have been built in LaPorte County since our inception. These homes have been made possible through the sweat equity of our partner families and the love and support from our own communities. We thank each and every person who has helped to grow this organization and we look forward to continuing our rich history as we work to improve the quality of life for families in LaPorte County. In 2021 we will be celebrating the building of our 55th home.
